Software Licenses
Educational facilities qualify for software licenses which are a cheaper and more convenient way to buy and manage software. Various programs are available including Adobe CLP, Microsoft Open Select, and Campus Agreements. These programs offer volume discounts and remove the hassle of keeping up with every copy of software you need.

When software is purchased it comes in the form of a "License". This is the agreement with the software company that you have to run their software. They generally enforce this with a key or some sort of activation routine that you must go through. Licenses are usually sent out through email, being delivered to the email that the order was processed with. The software can be installed by either purchasing a copy of it on DVD separately, or most have electronically available downloads.
