Compusult working with Miapukek First Nation

A new system has been developed for Incident Response

Compusult is developing a Community Resilience, Preparedness, and Response System for Miawpukek First Nation (MFN) in Newfoundland. This initiative, funded by the Canadian Safety and Security Program (CSSP), Aims to enhance community safety through innovative technology that supports emergency preparedness and climate resilience.

Led by Compusult’s president, Barry O’Rourke, the project focuses on using geospatial mapping and user-friendly technology to help communities adapt to climate change and extreme weather events. Chief Brad Benoit of MFN emphasizes the community’s commitment to adopting new technologies, noting that this pilot program will provide valuable insights into environmental preparedness while serving as a model for other  regions.
